Disc Golf                                                                                                 Disc Golf Brochure
The 9 hole course at Harnischfeger Park was designed to provide a challenging and fun opportunity for groups and individuals of all ages and abilities. Players are led through a series of wooded and open areas as they work their way through the course. Disc golf is much like regular golf, except that instead of using clubs to hit a ball into a hole, the player throws a disc or Frisbee into a basket. The object is the same as golf - try to get to the hole/basket in the least amount of shots. Each player must throw from the spot that their last throw landedDisc Golf - Harnischfeger Park - 9 Hole CourseCommon obstacles on a disc golf course are trees, shrubs, water, and terrain.  When a player successfully makes their way to the basket and gets the disc to land in the basket, the hole is completed.  Children and adults of all skill levels will enjoy this great excuse to be out of the house getting fresh air and exercise, even in winter and there is no need to reserve a tee time!  Tee pads for the course are currently grassed with yellow painted patio blocks marking the front portion of the pad. The hole number, distance and beginner par are marked on the blocks. To the back and side of each tee pad is a sign post with the hole sponsor's sign and the hole layout sign. Permanent hard surfaced tee pads are planned in the future as well as strategic tree planting to increase difficulty and course interest. The course uses the highly rated permanent Mach V baskets for great disc catching. Bring your own disc or check with staff at the park for disc rental availability.
